Bob Feller was on top of his game, blanking General Motors on just 2 hits at
the ballpark where the Bernstein Bears beat the General Motors Corporate Jets
by the score of 9 to 0.
Frank Robinson was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors. He tripled plating a run in
the 1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 2nd of the season)
in the 6th inning and doubled resulting in a run in the 8th inning.
Bernstein managed 14 hits in their victory.
Feller(2-2) was credited with the shutout. Chief Bender(1-3) was hit with the
loss. He allowed 10 hits and no walks in 1 inning.
